Direct Wrap screen with big standoff

For the development of a field in Siberia, which has a high oil viscosity (70 cP), Alfa Horizon has developed a unique tooling to create a highly drainage system of direct winding filters. The stand-off height (from the end of the base tube to the end of the wire winding) was over 5,5 mm. This configuration will be able to provide significantly less resistance to the movement of fluids, which, as practice shows, are a mixture of a high-viscosity mass with small non-filtered sand particles, maintaining the requirements of the technical specifications for the filter element outer diameter.
